Daniel 3:5-6 NLT:
… bow to the ground and worship King Nebuchadnezzar’s gold statue. Anyone who refuses to obey will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.
Romans 12:2 NKJV:
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Bow or burn! We live under the same pressure today. “Worship whatever you like in private, but when you come into school, work, public, or on social media, conform or be canceled.”
It’s true. Jobs have been lost, platforms removed, businesses sued, books removed, and Christian beliefs attacked. The spirit behind “cancel culture” (I loathe this term) is intent on removing the authority of God and His truth, replacing them with a counterfeit compassion. Emotions and sentiment now take the virtuous place that truth once held in our society. Bow and worship this newly erected image of cultural norms, or you will be burned.
Don’t bow! Don’t be intimidated for one second. It’s laughable to think any human or demon can “cancel” God’s word. Absurd! The Spirit of God cannot be tamed, nor the gospel (the power of God) be stopped.
Mao Zedong took power in China in 1949, intent on “canceling” Christianity. Ultimately, he killed 80 million people. He hunted down, tortured, imprisoned, and killed more Christians than any other man in history. But his attempt to stop God was a colossal failure. The greatest revival in history happened in China and grew the world’s largest church of over 100 million believers. Mao’s body lies entombed in Tiananmen Square while the body of Christ lives strong in China. All humans, all demons, all demonic strategies along with “cancel culture,” all will BOW before the real King and confess, “Jesus is Lord to the glory of the Father!”
As for you, do not be conformed to this culture. Don’t bow! Be strengthened in your mind by the Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit of God, so that you will be living proof of the good, perfect, and unstoppable will of God.
Prayer:
Father, You are GOD! There is none like You! No man nor demon is any match for You! We stand in defiance of fear and intimidation. We stand in honor of You, our all-powerful God. We stand in confidence that Your good, acceptable, and perfect will be accomplished in our lives, in Jesus’ name!
