"It's For Them" Building Project
“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations…” (Isaiah 54:2-3 NKJV)
“In the early 1980s, Pastor Wilson Gaunt and the members of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church purchased the 3 acres on which we are now located. Within a few years, Pastor John Parks became the pastor and led the building of our current facilities. We, The Crossing Church, are eternally grateful for the vision and hard work of these two men and the congregations they led to establishing these hallowed grounds.
In 1999, I became the Senior Pastor. Much like Abram, Jacob, Simon-Peter, and many others, God changed our name to The Crossing to designate a new season of ministry. From that time until now, I have known we would enlarge and expand to a larger location. The Crossing has been a bit of a hidden jewel…a “light hidden under a bushel” due, in part, to the confines of the property itself. But now, the time has come to remove all confines and give full access to the powerful light of God that shines through The Crossing Church.
We will now have 17.5 acres to develop, and Phase One will be an auditorium and children’s ministry facility. This is only the first step of many as we will now be able to welcome residents from The Woodlands, Magnolia, Montgomery, Tomball, and Conroe. This means thousands more lives will be saved, set free, and equipped to minister over the coming years. As well, we will continue to utilize our current facilities for Student ministry, offices, Life Group gatherings, prayer, True North Christian School, and other events.
I feel a bit like Abraham who waited a long time to see the promise of God come to pass. And now, the time has come. I sense the favor of God, and I am so excited! I ask you to pray! Above all things, pray and extend your faith to bless this work of God. And, I ask you to give. Give extravagantly! Give as if your life depended on it because the truth is many lives depend on us. God is going to answer our prayers and bless our finances so that His will is accomplished concerning The Crossing.
What you feel as you read this is the stirring of God’s Spirit. He is stirring and guiding. Only God knows what is waiting in our future. Let’s put our full faith and trust in Him and go forward. God bless you!”
