Young Adults Japan Ministry Trip

October 5 - 13, 2025 | $2,500 - $3,500+

Young Adults! Are you passionate about building the local church in one of the largest unreached people groups in the world? Then join us for our Japan Ministry Trip in October 2025! On this trip, young adults will:

  • Practice cross-cultural communications and ministry with Lifehouse International Church
  • Develop a life-giving community with the Japanese people
  • Learn about God’s Mission for the global Church in the context of the least evangelized people groups of the world
  1. What are the dates for the trip? The trip is scheduled for October 5 – 13, 2025. 
  2. Who can participate? This trip is open to young adults aged 18-30 (by October 13, 2025) committed to growing in their faith and serving others.
  3. What is the purpose of the mission trip? The trip focuses on outreach, cultural exchange, and serving in Tokyo. Activities include evangelism, supporting local ministries, and relationship-building with local residents.
  4. Is it necessary to speak Japanese? Speaking Japanese is not a requirement. Basic language and cultural orientation will be provided.
  1. How much does the trip cost? The estimated cost is approximately $2,500 to $3,500. The exact price will be confirmed closer to the trip.
  2. What is included in the cost? The cost covers round-trip airfare, accommodations, meals, travel insurance, local transportation, ministry supplies, and any planned group activities.
  3. Where will we stay? Accommodations will be arranged in a safe, clean hotel in Tokyo. Rooms may be shared with other participants of the same gender.
  4. Will there be opportunities to explore Tokyo? Yes, there will be designated times for cultural experiences and sightseeing. However, the primary focus remains on ministry work.
  1. What type of ministry work will we do? Ministry activities include street evangelism, partnering with local churches, community outreach, and serving in colleges. We may also assist in church services and prayer meetings.
  2. Do I need prior mission experience? No prior mission experience is required, but participants should have a heart for service and a desire to share their faith.
  3. How will I prepare spiritually? There will be pre-trip training sessions, including Bible studies, cultural training, team-building exercises, and prayer meetings.
  1. Do I need any vaccinations? It is recommended to be up to date on standard vaccines. Check with your healthcare provider about any additional recommendations for Japan.
  2. Is Japan safe for travelers? Tokyo is generally very safe, with low crime rates. As with any international travel, it is important to stay aware of your surroundings and follow team guidelines.
  1. How can I raise funds for the trip? The church will provide resources and ideas for fundraising, such as letter-writing campaigns, events, or online fundraising platforms. Scholarships may also be available.
  2. Are there any payment plans available? Yes, a payment schedule will be offered to spread the cost over several months. Details will be provided during the registration process.
  1. How do I sign up for the trip? You can apply for the trip through thecrossing.cc/trips. Upon acceptance, you will receive an email with a link to register for the trip. A non-refundable deposit is required upon registration. The registration deadline will be in August 2025.
  2. What is required to participate? Participants must complete the application form, attend training sessions, and agree to the trip’s Code of Conduct and spiritual guidelines. Participants must be baptized before participating in the trip, and their social media accounts must reflect a Christ-like character. A cleared background check is required for all participants since we will be working with children. Participants must also have a passport that does not expire before April 1, 2026.

The Crossing Israel Tour

Embark on an unforgettable journey with us, as we explore the rich history of Israel on The Crossing Israel Tour! Discover landmarks such as the Mount of Olives, the historic Pool of Bethesda, and the sacred Upper Room. The cost for this trip is $1,650, excluding airfare and additional expenses.

What is included in the $1,650 cost? Breakfast, dinner, hotel, and transportation are included.

What additional expenses should I budget for? We encourage setting aside $350 minimum per attendee. This includes tips for the hotel cleaning service, driver ($40), tour guide ($60), lunch ($10 per day + 10% tip), souvenirs, travel insurance (we recommend Travelex), and laundry services.

Are flights included in the cost? No; attendees are responsible for booking flights.

What flight options are recommended? We recommend George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) > Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) > Ben Gurion Airport (TLV). You can arrive 1 day early to check-in at the hotel from May 30th at 4 PM. You can also be picked at TLV on May 31st at 10:30 AM.

Is there a minimum deposit for registrations? No. 

When is the deadline for registrations? Sunday, April 15th, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

What is the cancellation policy if I need to change my plans after registering? Visit the registration link, click “View registration,” and select “cancel online” at the bottom of the webpage. The trip is fully refundable until April 15th. On April 15th, all payments will be wired and cannot be returned.

What is the group size for this tour? The capacity limit is a maximum of 50 attendees.

When are the informational meeting dates? There are 6 meetings once a month. Further details are available upon registration.

Is there a packing list? Yes! These will be provided at the monthly informational meetings. While flying, we encouraging you to bring medicines, underwear, and important toiletries in a carry-on. (A PDF version will be available soon.)

Are there any specific visa or travel documentation requirements for this trip? Only a passport that does not expire before December 2023.

Are there any recommended vaccinations or health precautions for traveling to Israel? Currently, Israel does NOT require vaccines or PCR testing to visit.

What is the currency and payment method widely accepted in Israel? Shekels.

Should I exchange the currency before the trip, or can I do this during the trip? You can bring shekels, but credit cards and US dollars are widely accepted. 

Are there any optional activities or excursions available during the trip? You can be baptized at the Jordan River ($10/attendee) or swim at the Dead Sea ($10/attendee)! If you’d like to participate, pack a swimsuit (keep in mind that baptism robes are see-through). 

Will there be any free time or opportunities for attendees to explore independently? To ensure everyone’s safety, this will not be available.

Are there accommodations for allergies? The restaurant staff will be happy to help! You can also bring snacks for the trip.

Are there any specific dress codes or cultural etiquette guidelines to be aware of when visiting religious sites? This trip is in the summer; shorts and comfortable shirts are recommended. At holy sites, women must have their shoulders covered, and men must wear long pants.
