Daniel 2:44-45 NLT:
During the reigns of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered. It will crush all these kingdoms into nothingness, and it will stand forever. ..The great God was showing the king what would happen in the future. The dream is true, and its meaning is certain.
America is in trouble. Division, hatred, violence, crime, sexual perversion, political confusion, corruption in government, and so many areas are on the rise. America is 245 years old. History teaches us that this is the point when most empires fall. The Egyptian, Greek, Persian, Roman, and British empires all fell around the 240-year mark. They were not conquered from the outside. They rotted from within. And America is on the same trend line. But this is not a time for believers to be discouraged – our God is still in control.
As Chapter 2 of Daniel ends, God shows him the revelation of the king’s dream. He saw 483 years from that time until the time of Jesus. He describes each empire that would rise to power until a great Rock destroys them all. This “Rock” is none other than Jesus Christ, and His kingdom will never be destroyed. It’s been 2,000 years since Jesus was on the earth, and His kingdom is alive, strong, and indestructible.
What separates kingdom believers from everybody else going through these same trials is that we know our God. We know He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. And He’s God of the ugly middle as well.
God showed Daniel (and us) these prophecies to encourage us. He said to all of His children, “I am in control! I am at work in the earth, working My plan, and I have your future in My hand.”
Today, get this verse in your mind and rehearse it. Job 19:23 (NLT): I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end, He will stand upon the earth.
Be encouraged! God placed you and me at this time in this place to stand for Him and represent the kingdom. We have a grace for this! We have the Holy Spirit of God living through us to see opportunities where others see danger. He’s got you! And He’s got this!
Prayer:
Father, we celebrate Your greatness! We are honored to be Yours and to stand for You in this season. Thank You for Your power and grace infused into our lives so that we represent the Kingdom with strength and confidence. You are God, and You’ve got this, in Jesus’ name!
